The Spring Fashion Wardrobe Of 2019

 

The arrival of spring means the shopping centres and sites are already changing their collections and you're probably constantly bombarded with advertisements on the latest hair clip that you must buy to complete your new look. The result of it is that you're attracted to everything and don't know where to spend your money on. 

Here's the truth, you don't need to give in to the trend. That doesn't mean you don't need to buy new clothes or sandals, of course, you do, for your happiness if nothing else. But you don't need to do what everyone else is doing because the social media and the commercials tell you so. You need to find what works for you.

 A new season calls for an updated wardrobe. The changes don't have to be anything big, just a few items here and there and you will be ready to greet Spring. Thankfully, Spring is the season of warm and bright colors; the weather that's usually so perfect that all kinds of style can be blended to create something unique and truthful to your personality. Some carefully selected items and you'll be able to mix the old and the new to have an outfit ready for each day. 

To offer you a hand in the right direction, here are some pieces you might want to consider which can redefine your previous pieces!

 The Chameleon Yellow

Yellow’s strength lies in the many varieties of shades it’s available in. It can range from the color of mustard to that of one as bright as the sun. No matter the shade, yellow contrasts nicely with anything neutral or dark, say a black skirt or denim or even a blue color palazzo. Yellow will make itself at home. The color also embodies spring in the best way possible. Another plus to the wide range of the color is that you can find the one that suits your skin tone the best.

Animal Print

Animal print products have been one of the most revered products in runaways all over the world last year. The rise in popularity of the animal print has been going on for some years now and its for good reason. Usually coming in patterns of lion, snakes or the rare butterflies, the white or yellow print alternated with black is a viable option that suits all kind of trousers and sandals. You can wear an animal print top with denim or harem pants or even leggings and it will look good in all the cases. 

Harem Pants

 

Is it spring if you don’t have harem pants gracing your wardrobe? These light colored and loose pants are great for going outside in somewhat warm weather. They don’t cling to your skin the way denim and have a breezy feel to it. Harem pants look especially great with animal print tops. Polka dot harem pants are especially popular these days, as they add a layer of adorableness to the whole look and spring is a season where the aim is to portray a positive and bright image. 

Pocket Dress

Pocket dresses are long dresses with, you guessed it, pockets. What women haven’t wear a dress for a beautiful day out only to face the dilemma of finding the right purse or the right handbag. It’s not like you can keep a really large item in your pocket dress, but a few items here and there, like your phone, wouldn’t hurt. Even if you choose to keep your pockets empty and just want a good party dress, pocket dresses are a great choice. As they usually look like long cotton tops and aren’t tightly fitted, they’re easy to walk around on.  They also look quite modern and chic, and that’s what people want when they’re attending an important but casual event.

Jumpsuit or Matching Pieces

 

While the world had supposedly moved on from matching an entire outfit of the same color from head to toe to contrasting all the items in the best way possible, it seems there has been a resurgence in matching trend. Trousers and shirts of the same color or an entire one-piece splashed with the same bright color- that is, jumpsuits- had been slowly becoming popular. The upside to this trend is that even if you don't decide to match your outfits in the end, you can use one of the pieces with some other clothes. Alternatively, if you choose jumpsuits, you don’t need to worry about getting a trouser or a shirt, as jumpsuits essentially do the job of both. Add to this is the fact that jumpsuit was one of the most popular items in runaways last year.  

Sandals with Straps

To accompany all these looks, you will need a shoewear. Strappy sandals can gladly take up the job on that front. They look like normals sandals, or even a little uglier than the normal ones, with mid-level or no heels. The thing about these shoes that they go just as well with tops and jeans as they do with pencil skirts. You can wear them for casual dinners or to a wedding, and it will complete your look in both cases.

 All the trends listed here are merely suggestions: items you might or might not want to buy for your new spring wardrobe. You don't need to buy all of the pieces. You can easily pick the ones from the list which is closest to your style and comfort or be daring and try something new. You can just as quickly make a whole new style out of all the pieces listed here. In the end, fashion is what you choose to make of it.

It's showtime at Goose Island

We've been very busy over the last few weeks attending Trade Shows selling to independent stores our spring collection.  We were first at the Harrogate Fashion Week where our collection went down a storm and we were one of the busiest stands attracting lots of new buyers who will be stocking the Goose Island brand.

We also had our regular stand at Pure London where once again we had an amazing show and attracted not only customers from the UK but many overseas customers too.  Pure London is one of the top wholesale fashion trade shows in Europe and Goose Island have been exhibiting there for over 10 years.  There is no other show in the UK that compares with it and throughout the day there are amazing fashion shows showcasing what all the different stands have.

Currently our sales team are at a wholesale Roadshow and have been travelling the South West and meeting all our lovely customers to take their spring orders.

This week we are in Wales and yesterday we were in Cardiff and tomorrow we will be showing our latest collection to customers in our home town of Swansea.

The most popular styles this season have been the brightly coloured linen dresses tops and tunics, the floral print tops and the easy to wear one size tunics that are always a popular line with our customers.

We're excited for the second stage of our spring collection to arrive, and we have just taken delivery of the new samples, they are so pretty.
